The Westboro Baptist Church is a lot of wonky fanatics. [23 Jan 2008|08:24am]
[ mood | pissed off ]

The fact that these nutjobs are going to protest at Heath Ledger's funeral is disgusting. They are hate mongers of the worst sort and they have the dumbest train of thought that I have ever heard. These people make me sick. It was bad enough that they were at the funerals of men and women that died for our country but now they are going after actors that they see and worthy of their wrath. Who do these people think they are? It's like the KKK back in the day. You can not argue with these people and somehow they always come out on top of things. Well I'm sorry Mr. Phelps but I think you will find God not very happy with your hate mongering when you finally kick the bucket. The fact that they carry signs that says "GOD Hates(fill in the blank)" is stupid. Anyone with the Christian faith will tell you that God does not hate. Period. I'm so angry about all of this. These people make my blood boil.

If you want to hate people for their choices, fine. That is your right, I suppose. I do not agree with homosexuality but I'll be darned if I'm going to protest a funeral over it. In this great country of ours everyone has a choice. Some people choose to be homosexual and some do not. We don't all have to agree. That's what makes this country great. Yes, I think it's a sin. But God gave humans free will and I don't think these nutjobs should be trying to take that away. If they want to be retarded fine, but why do you have to drag the churches name into it? Hmm? This is why people despise christians as much as they do in this country. It's these knuckle dragging bigots from backwater Kansas.

Why haven't laws been passed to stop these people from doing this sort of thing?

God have mercy on your souls, I'm sure you are going to need it!!!!

Feels like Doomsday around here. Still no luck with getting a loan to keep the cars my wife and I drive. Usually they give you 90 days to secure something but I don't want to take that long. I'm still pissy about the whole situation anyway. I'll never again own something in someone else's name. To make matters feel worse, as I'm thinking about my own money problems I flip on the radio(whut's that?) to hear that the Stock Market dropped a whopping 400 points in a matter of minutes this morning right out of the gate. Lovely day, indeed.

Today's goals consist of reading three chapters in my Bible. Suggestions on which ones? I'm open for whatever. Something encouraging would be nice. Today I also need to put away our laundry and hopefully spend some time in prayer. I'm trying to work on trusting God more and to stop thinking I have to be the one to fix everything for everyone.

Less important but still in need: I've misplaced the USB cable to our new digital camera. I've got pictures to upload and no cable. ARGH!

I was going through my cd collection just a bit ago and I had forgotten how much I like Five Iron Frenzy. Reese Roper is a genius. Too bad they had to go their separate ways.

Finally got over being sick. It sucks when you throw-up and pee out your butt at the same time. I never want to see another bottle of Sprite as long as I live.

Feeling good today, getting a much needed haircut in about an hour.

I don't care if you don't like what I have to say. [17 Nov 2006|05:04pm]
It's amazing to me how much people change, mainly myself. I am finding that as I grow older I am becoming more conservative about some things and more liberal about others.

For instance, I used to think that no other religion should be allowed. I am and always will be a Christian, I've never doubted that. However, I don't think that we should cram our beliefs down everyone else's throats. Evangelize, yes. Bible thump, no. If you want to share the gospel of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, then by all means do so, but if your intended target is not interested then leave them be and hope that you've planted a seed in their soul and just maybe they will take what you've said to heart. I believe that God gave us free will for a reason. He wanted us to choose to serve Him, instead of being little mind-controlled robots. So who are we to try to force others to worship our God? Encourage them, try to persuade them, of course! But to try to use political action to force them is an outrage.

Maybe I'm a liberal with conservative views.

I personally do not feel that homosexuality is right. To me, it seems unnatural. However, I have an aunt who is a lesbian and you can see the genuine love she and her girlfriend share. This is one of those topics that is clearly not a black and white, down the middle issue. Do I think it's wrong? Yes, I do, but then when I see them two it's hard to say, "hey, you two can't love each other. Cut it out." I'm on the ropes about this one. I will say this though. Those people that say, "Oh well let's give them a right to a civil union but they aren't going to be able to get a marriage license, that's just going too far." Hello, McFly! There's hardly a difference between a marriage and a civil union. You're only saying this because you can't stand up forself and tell us what you really believe. Either you are going to let them be acknowledged or you're not. Quit the b.s. (Yes, I know those last two sentences should apply to me too.)

If there is one topic that I know right where I stand on, it's abortion. I'm totally pro-life and I give no apologies for it. I do not think a woman should have a right to choose to abort their baby. Yes, I'm saying baby. I think the pro-choice people choose to use the word "fetus" to try to de-humanize it. Nobody wants to hear about killing babies, but if we call it a fetus oh well now that doesn't sound so bad. I think that abortions are a horrible thing. I've always viewed women as these beautiful creatures that are full of love and warmth, so it boggles my mind to hear them say they want to have the choice to kill the baby inside them if they so choose. It goes against all logic. My wife and I have been trying to have a child, and so far we have no been able to do so. So let me tell you how bad it makes us feel when we hear about girls getting pregnant than then throwing that child away. Give the baby to us, damnit! If you won't love and cherish the gift God has given you then let us! I know several couples just like us who want nothing more than to have a child to call our own, to love and nurture. So yes, I have no room in my life for abortion.

I am open to discussion on everything, so please feel free to comment. I think that everyone is entitled to their opinion. The last type I discussed this I made someone mad enough that they removed me from their friend list both here and on myspace. That was never my intention. I have several people on my Flist that I do not agree with their opinions on things but I still enjoy reading what they have to say.

Jokes [27 Jan 2006|01:20am]
[ mood | awake ]

While I was driving down the freeway the other day, (going a little faster than I should have been) I passed under a bridge only to see a copper on the other side with a radar gun laying in wait.

The copper pulled me over, walked up to the car, and with that classic patronising smirk, asked "Runway too short?" To which I replied, "I'm late for work." To which he asked, "What do you do?" "I'm a rectum stretcher," I responded.

The copper was surprised and confused. "A what? A rectum stretcher?? And just what does a rectum stretcher do?" "Well," I said, "I start by inserting one finger, then I work my way up to two fingers, then three, then four, then with my whole hand in, work side to side until I can get both hands in, and then I slowly but surely stretch the hole, until it's about 6 feet."

Then the cop asked questioningly and cautiously, "And just what exactly do you do with a six-foot arsehole?" "To which I politely replied, "You give him a radar gun and park him behind a bridge..."

On a golf tour in Ireland, Tiger Woods drives his BMW into a petrol station in a remote part of the Irish countryside. The pump attendant, obviously knows nothing about golf, greets him in a typical Irish manner completely unaware of who the golfing pro is.

Top of the mornin' to yer, sir" says the attendant. Tiger nods a quick "hello" and bends forward to pick up the nozzle. As he does so, two tees fall out of his shirt pocket onto the ground.

"What are dose? Asks the attendant. "They're called tees" replies Tiger. "Well, what on god's earth are dey for?" inquires the Irishman.

"They're for resting my balls on when I'm driving", says Tiger. "Fookin Jaysus", says the Irishman, "BMW tinks of everyting!"

THINGS TO PONDER [27 Jan 2006|01:16am]
[ mood | awake ]

- Can you cry under water?
- How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?
- Why do you have to "put your two cents in" but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to?
- Once you're in heaven, do you get stuck wearing the clothes you were buried in for eternity?
- Why does a round pizza come in a square box?
- What disease did cured ham actually have?
- How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?
- Why is it that people say they "slept like a baby" when babies wake up like every two hours?
- If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?
- Why are you IN a movie, but you're ON TV?
- Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?
- Why do doctors leave the room while you change? They're going to see you naked anyway.
- Why is "bra" singular and "panties" plural?
- Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?
- If Jimmy cracks corn and no one cares, why is there a stupid song about him?
- Can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the carpool lane?
- If the professor on Gilligan's Island can make a radio out of a coconut, why can't he fix a hole in a boat?
- Why do people point to their wrist when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when asking where the bathroom is?
- Why does Goofy stand erect while Pluto remains on all fours? They're both dogs!
- If Wyle E. Coyote had enough money to buy all that ACME crap, why didn't he just buy dinner?
- If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what is baby oil made from?
- If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?
- Do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?
- Why did you just try singing the two songs above?
- Why do they call it an asteroid when it's outside the hemisphere, but call it a haemorrhoid when it's in your butt?
- Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him for a car ride; he sticks his head out the window?

Bradenton, Florida -- Deputies say a 16-year-old has been arrested for beating his grandmother with a two-by-four for refusing to give him $100 for beer.

Charged is Kurt Cass of Hammock Drive, Bradenton.

Investigators say Cass went into his 60-year-old grandmother's bedroom Thursday and asked her for $100 for beer. When she refused, he allegedly placed a razor blade on her throat and demanded she take him to the bank to get the money, deputies said.

"When the victim arrived back home she locked all of the doors," deputies reported. "The defendant arrived back home and kicked the front door in.

"Once inside the defendant grabbed a two foot 2x4 piece of wood and hit the victim numerous times on the back. The defendant then grabbed a three foot piece of 3 inch PVC pipe and hit the victim on her head, back, and legs numerous times. The defendant's case worker arrived on scene and was able to hold him until law enforcement arrived."

Deputies said Cass has made comments in the past to his grandmother that she should kill his entire family.

Cass was charged with domestic aggravated assault, two counts of domestic aggravated battery, attempted robbery, and kidnapping.

The grandmother has had legal guardianship of Cass and his little brother since 1994.

Authorities tell us today that Cass came from a troubled family. His mother is in prison on cocaine possession and sale charges, and his father is serving a 15-year prison sentence for manslaughter after choking a prostitute to death in 2002.

Just shoot me! [06 Jan 2006|04:55pm]

[ music | none-most of it was stolen! ]

I'm not sure that my day could get much worse than it has already been. First the thing with my glasses breaking and it costing me $90 to get my eyes checked and get some contacts. Well, I left about an hour ago to get my wife for lunch and I realize that someone has been inside my car that shouldn't have been and they stole a bunch of cds. I had one of those cd organizers that goes on your sunvisor and someone ripped it off, some of the strap material was still attached to my sunvisor! They got about 30 of my cds and it really pisses me off. Most of them were cds that I can live without but there was a couple a black tape for a blue girl cds that are hard to find around here and my favorite Jars of Clay cd.

Being robbed majorly sucks, it makes me really wonder about the neighborhood that I live in.
